The Law introduces into the Bulgarian legislation the requirements of Directive 2014/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 on markets in financial instruments (the so-called MiFIDII). This is achieved both by providing the IP with appropriate information to the clients when investing in financial instruments, the markets in which they are traded, transparency of the costs to clients before and after the conclusion of the relevant transactions, the policy applied by the investment broker to treat conflicts of interest, etc., and the provision by clients of the information necessary to the broker to assess the suitability of the service for the client.
